Privacy & Terms
This page explains (1) how Tementra handles data and (2) the terms for using the site. We wrote it in plain English and we mean it.
Privacy
The short version: Tementra is built to be private by default. We don’t sell your data. We don’t run ad trackers. And in this current demo build, your account and events live in your browser (localStorage).
What we collect
- Newsletter email (optional): If you choose to join the daily newsletter, we collect the email you enter so we can contact you.
- Basic technical info: Like most websites, your browser sends standard data (IP address, browser type) to hosting providers (Netlify) and to your ISP. This is not something Tementra “asks for” — it’s how the internet works.
What we don’t collect
- No credit card numbers.
- No bank logins.
- No school logins.
- No Gmail inbox scanning in this demo.
- No third‑party ad tracking pixels.
- No selling your data to anyone. Period.
Where your calendar data lives
Right now, Tementra stores accounts and events on this device only using your browser’s local storage. That means:
- Your calendar is private to the device and browser you used to create it.
- If you clear browser storage, your account/events will be removed.
- If you log in on another device, you won’t see the same events (until we add real sync).
Newsletter data
The newsletter is a simple sign‑up form. If you subscribe, your email is saved to the list used to send you updates. We use it only for product updates and announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or by using any unsubscribe link provided in future emails.
Security
No online system is perfect, but we follow a simple rule: collect the least amount of data possible. The less data we store, the less there is to leak. For this demo, that means your calendar stays in your browser.
Children’s privacy
Tementra is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes
If we change what we collect or how we handle data, we’ll update this page and clearly say what changed.
Terms of Use
By using Tementra, you agree to the terms below. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site.
1) “As‑is” demo
Tementra is a demo/MVP. It’s provided “as is” without warranties. We’re building fast and improving constantly.
2) You’re responsible for your deadlines
Tementra helps you organize deadlines, but it can’t guarantee perfect accuracy. Always double‑check important payments, school deadlines, and time zones. You are responsible for meeting your own obligations.
3) Acceptable use
- Don’t try to break the site, hack accounts, scrape data, or abuse the newsletter.
- Don’t use Tementra for illegal activity.
- Don’t upload harmful content or attempt to disrupt the service.
4) Accounts
Accounts in this demo are stored locally. If you share your device or browser profile, other people could access your calendar. Keep your device secure and log out if needed.
5) Intellectual property
The Tementra name, brand, design, and code are owned by Tementra. You can use the product, but you can’t copy the branding or redistribute the code as your own without permission.
6) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Tementra is not liable for missed deadlines, late fees, penalties, lost profits, or indirect damages that result from using the site.
7) Termination
We can suspend access if the site is abused. You can stop using Tementra at any time.
8) Contact
Questions? Reach out through the contact method provided on the site (or the email used for the newsletter).
